Quarter-millionth tonnes of sold Gramix NPK fertilizer
Fertilia Ltd. organized a professional meeting on the 13th November 2014 together with plant visit and award ceremony at the Enying site on the occasion of quarter-millionth manufactured Gramix NPK.
Péter Simon CEO of Fertilia Ltd. welcomed the guests, than introduced the company shortly. The company was established in 1991, until 2005 the main activity was the distribution of fertilizers. In 2005 a new strategy was built to satisfy the custemers expertly and correctly. Péter also mentioned the importance of reasonable and balanced nutrient managment.
György Czerván the Minister of State for Agricultural Economy also spoke at the event. Mr. Czerván shortly summarized the results of the 2014 harvests and mentioned, altought the apllication of fertilizers increased in Hungary in the last few years, yet remains far below than the Western countries applied amounts.
Ottó Pálmai PhD., the Head of Plant and Soil Protection Institute talked about the aspect of hungarian and foreign nutrient managment. Also described, that the amount of applied fertilizers is still lower than needed. The fertilizer application increases in the whole world and will continue too.
Norbert Potori PhD., Head of the Agricultural Research Institute spoke about the international crop market outlook, mainly about to the maize, wheat, sunflower, soya and winter oilseed rape. Mr. Potori emphasized the importance of soya, which is the most wanted crop besides the maize on the international market.
After a short brake Erika Várszegi general manager of Fertilia Ltd. summarized the past 23 years of the company. She split the 23 years into two parts. In the first 13 years besides the distribution, the logistics background was developed (storage capacity, trucks, packing facility).
In 2005 a strategic decision was made, to become expert of nutrient managment. The main pupose was to develop a fertilizer family which soon become premium quality. This was realized with the Gramix NPK fertilizer family.
The next big step was in 2008 when the granulation manufacturing technology was created. With the help of this technology the plant specific microelement supply can be made. From 2013 the plant specific and unique compsed Gramix NPK products are present on the market with the latest innovation of Fertilia with the Rizodyne soil activator.
Erika also mentioned, that Gramix is not just an NPK but also an advisory system was built, to satisfy the partners expertly and correctly. From 2012 the UMG MICRO microgranulated fertilizer family is present on the market, to satisfy the seedlings in the germination period. With these products the company can offer complete nutrition managment system to the farmers.
At the end of the program, on the award ceremony Péter Simon said thank you for László Berta (Pentele Zrt.), that they buy Fertilia products from the beginning and for Gábor Neuberger, who bought the quarter millionth tonne of Gramix NPK.
